Aratrika, as an organization, is fully dedicated to promoting classical dance forms with an enthusiastic fervour for the past decade in and across the suburbs of Mumbai. Our sole aim is to familiarize the vast multitude of interested lay audience with the nuances of performing arts and to inculcate knowledge and appreciation of the beauty of our wonderful art forms in the eager young minds. In addition to teaching Odissi, Aratrika have also collaborated with talented and upcoming artistes from Kathak, Manipuri and Bharatnatyam backgrounds for various productions
Aratrika Institute of Performing Arts was founded in 2006 by Smt Nivedita Mukherjee and is an ode to ancient classical dance form of Odissi and homage to her gurus - Guru Smt Jhelum Paranjape and great grand guru Padma Vibhushan Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra
