We are happy and proud to inform that Smt REVATHI RAMACHANDRAN will be awarded with the " BHAGAVATHA MELA PITAMAHA MELATTUR VENKATRAMA SASTRY AWARD " on the the Inaugural function of the festival on April 28, 2018

Smt. Revathi Ramachandran, dancer, choreographer and teacher is a direct disciple of Guru Sri Mangudi Durairaja Iyer.

Graded “A” by the Doordarshan Kendra, Revathi Ramachandran has performed widely across the globe and is an empanelled artist of the ICCR. Granted a fellowship by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Revathi has done research on Bhagavatha Mela.

She is the Advisory Council Member of IDA (International Dance Alliance) which interacts with artistes from across the Globe and had been involved in various projects including in the visual media.

She was recognized as the best dancer in the "Spirit of Youth " festival conducted by the Music Academy Madras . and has many awards to her name including, Nadana Maamani, Yuva Kala Bharathi, Isai Kalai Chelvar and Natya Kala Sikhamani. In 2014 she received the prestigious award- Arsha Kala Bhushanam Award from PUJYA Swami Dayananda Saraswathi.

Her quest for excellence resulted in Kala Sadhanalaya, a dance school established to nourish young talent towards the sublime heights of Bharathanatyam.

She recently took charge as the Director of KALASHETHRA and our Melattur Bhagavata Mela wishes her our best wishes...

She has been one of our greatest supporters and had been more than a family to our Sangam and Trust. We are grateful to their family for being one of our biggest pillars of strength..

Our Melattur Bhagavata Mela Annual Narasimha Jayanthy Bhagavata Mela Mahotsav 2018 will begin from 28th April 2018 at Melattur.

The inaugural function on 28th April 2018 will be followed by our marquee Bhagavata Mela Natakam " Prahaladha Charithramu" will be telecast live from Melattur from 10 pm in the night at Sri Sankara TV Channel..
