Anandi Arts Foundation
Anandi Arts Foundation is a non profit organisation, training 126 young girls from lesser priveledged background in Odissi and other art forms, equipping them with skills that can help them build a better future.
This year we are organising 'ASMI' a festival of music and dance, as an endeavour to give these girls a platform to showcase their talent.
Helping them through this journey there are 6 artists of international repute who are sharing the stage with the girls.
ABOUT ANANDI ARTS FOUNDATION
Anandi Arts Foundation is a Charitable Trust started in the year 2016 by Mrs. Vandana Supriya Kasaravalli. The antecedence of Anandi Arts Foundation was the ‘Anandi Arts Academy ’. It was started in the year 2012, in an attempt to spread Odissi and extend its reach in the southern parts of India. Soon, this school became a learning arena for children and adults alike making dance and other art forms accessible to the all, regardless of their social or economic status.Presently there are about 125 girls, who are learning at Anandi Arts foundation.
The Vision
“When you educate a man, you educate a man but when you educate a woman, you educate a generation”.
Educating the girl child refers to every aspect of education that aims at developing the skill and knowledge of girls and women.
But should education be limited to just school or collegiate education or should it go beyond that?
Anandi Arts Foundation was started with the mission towards empowering young girls from Government Schools and lesser privileged backgrounds by aiding them in not just their pursuit of school or collegiate education but also through Art forms like Dance, Music, Kalaripayattu Martial Arts, Yoga, thereby providing a platform for holistic development.
