5/25/17 - 5/28/17: Mordine & Co.'s COLLISIONS with guest Hema Rajagopalan at Links Hall (3111 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60618), 7:00 pm

COLLISIONS is a cross-cultural piece that highlights the different traditions of Western contemporary dance and Bharata Natyam. Mordine & Co.'s COLLISIONS is an ongoing investigation into ideas of immediate impact: tensions between generations, cultures, and climatic changes, featuring choreography by Shirley Mordine in collaboration with Natya Founder and Artistic Director Hema Rajagopalan.

On May 25 and 26, Hema will join Shirley onstage for conversation and demonstration. Tickets available online at the Links Hall site.




5/31/17: "Made in Chicago" - Natya Dance Theatre at the Harold Washington Library (400 S State Street, Chicago, IL, 60605) ,12:15 pm


Join Natya at the Harold Washington Public Library for a free public performance of Rasa - The Essence of Emotion,  choreographed by Natya's Founder and Artistic Director, Hema Rajagopalan. 7/19/17: "Night Out in the Parks" at Maggie Daley Park (337 E Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60601), 5:30 pm
Natya’s In the Blue Light: Stories of India speaks through gods, goddesses, animals, and demons, weaving a tapestry that transports the audience to another world.
